DEPOSITS
Reservation of unborn kids are FREE. Once kids are born, seller will contact buyers with reservations for a non-refundable deposit of $100 per kid which is due within 2 days of kid's birth to hold kid until weaned, or agreed upon pick up date. If a deposit is not received within 2 days of kid's birth, buyer's reservation is forfeited.
Deposits are non-refundable if buyer backs out of purchase agreement for any reason, or does not pick up animal(s) by pre-arranged date. Deposits will be refunded only if buyer's reservation request cannot be fulfilled by seller.
*Please be aware, Homestead Goats reserves the right to retain first choice from any breeding
BOARDING
IF seller agrees to hold animal(s) until a specified pick up date, then buyer must first pay for the animal in full and pay an additional boarding fee of $2 dollars per day, per animal being boarded. The boarding fee must be paid upfront before boarding period begins. (For example, if 10 days of boarding is needed for 1 animal then a $20 fee must be paid prior to that 10 day period.) The boarding fee will cover food, board, and basic care but will not include breeding fees or vet care, if needed. Buyer must agree to hold seller harmless, and not responsible, for accidental injury, illness, or death of animal(s) being boarded at our farm.
GUARANTEES
Please be aware that animals cannot be returned or refunded after purchase and that all sales are final.
Due to bio-security precautions, once an animal leaves our property they will not be allowed to return for any reason.
Animals and items are sold "as is" with no guarantees given nor implied. That being stated, we give our honest appraisal of each animal and always represent each animal's pros and cons truthfully. We will never knowingly sell an unhealthy or unproductive animal. All breeding does are sold as open (not pregnant), even if they have been exposed to a buck, or "bred". Buyers may, at their own expense, confirm pregnancy or negative disease status of a particular animal which they have put a deposit on by arranging a blood test prior to that animal leaving our farm. It is not possible to guarantee color or any other genetic characteristic of future offspring of any animal. After an animal leaves our farm we are unable to assure that it is cared for properly, so we cannot guarantee that it will not become exposed to illness, injury, or develop negative health effects due to improper care or stress of relocation after being sold.
